From the beach to the Arrábida landscape

Meet the most beautiful natural local landscapes.

Right in front of the SANA Sesimbra is the Califórnia Beach. But there's a lot more to discover at the Setúbal peninsula and the Arrábida Mountains. Portinho da Arrábida with its natural setting, or Meco Beach, with its trendy, young and relaxed environment, deserve a visit. Both beaches are located just minutes away from SANA Sesimbra.

Natural parks

If you’re not a beach fan, but prefer to hike, the Arrábida Natural Park is well worth a visit. You’ll be surprised by th large variety of mountains, Mediterranean vegetation, a rocky and rugged coastline and a breathtaking landscape.

The area also includes the Prof. Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, with over a thousand animal species and quite rare marine plants in the Portuguese west coast. In the Espichel Cape, characterised by a coastline of high cliffs, it’s possible to observe migratory birds such as the Royal Swallow, the Peregrine Falcon, the Bonelli's Eagle and the Eagle Owl.
